This pair of Louis XVI Brass Ribbon Sconces has two arms each and is an exceptional display of craftsmanship and metalwork.
The detail is evident on all surfaces. Each arm branch extends from acanthus foliage into beautifully scrolling stems that raise the drip catches. The candlesticks have a hammered textured surface with a surrounding ribbon. The supporting column rises above the arm braches with an array of quills leading to the ribbon on top fastened in a bow.
All with brass that has aged with a beautiful patina.
